EverPass acquires UPshow, bringing NFL Sunday Ticket to Restaurants

With the start of the NFL season this past weekend, it’s important to know how to take advantage of opportunities to increase foot traffic. Well, EverPass Media made that a lot easier this past summer. EverPass Media is a media platform that distributes premium live sports and entertainment content to commercial businesses, including restaurants.

According to Gallup, 41% of U.S. adults say football is their favorite sport to watch. In addition, NFL Sunday Ticket increases foot traffic by an average of 22% for restaurants and bars nationwide on Sundays, making the service a great opportunity to attract customers and build customer loyalty.

UPSHOW ACQUISITION

In early July, EverPass acquired UPshow, an on-premise entertainment, performance marketing, and streaming platform that allows public establishments, including bars and restaurant chains, to show NFL Sunday Ticket games. Dating back to 1994, NFL Sunday Ticket was only available to these commercial establishments through a DirecTV satellite subscription. For the first time ever, Restaurants, bars, and other commercial businesses can now purchase and stream NFL Sunday Ticket without a physical, on-site satellite.

Additionally, EverPass and UPshow are partners for Peacock Sports Pass, a commercial business sports package with access to some of Peacock’s live sports content library. This package includes Big Ten football and basketball, the Premier League, and the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Brazil that featured the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.

This acquisition of UPshow brings crucial technology infrastructure and streaming solutions to EverPass, granting EverPass the opportunity to distribute this technology globally. This is proving to be significantly important as many professional sports leagues and associations, such as the NFL, are expanding into international markets.
